If you are going to write articles at ezinearticles.com, you want to get as many views as possible. One of the best ways to do this is to choose your title carefully by adding keywords to the title.  The first three or four words of the title will generate traffic to your article, so the title must be keyword rich. That means the keyword must be placed in the first few words of the title. Let’s say that you are writing about dog training. Here is an example of a bad keyword title:

Top 5 ways to train your dog

The words train and dog are in the title, but they come to far at the end. You need the title to be keyword rich at the front such as in this example:

Dog Training Obedience – 5 Strategies to a Well-trained Pet

In the second example, the first three words are keywords so we aren’t cluttering up the title with meaningless words as in the first example. If someone is searching the internet on dog training, they aren’t going to be looking for top five anything. They will search dog training or dog obedience instead. Including the word pet in the title is good too in case someone is searching just on that word alone.

The rest of your article must also repeat the keywords. The keywords must be related to the article or they will be meaningless. Try to use the keywords at least five times in an article, but be careful not to overstuff. The keywords should flow naturally. You don’t want the keywords to feel forced.  Sign up for Google AdWords so that you can put in potential keywords to see the Google search volume for those words. That will tell you how popular the keywords are.

Quality backlinks are important to getting high views on your articles.  If the backlink is related to your article, then Google will give your article more credibility because your article has relevant links. Having a lot of backlinks is good, but having quality backlinks is more important.
