However, I’ve discovered a cool video yesterday about how to do banner advertising correctly. The techniques used in the video are very similar to the strategies of PPC advertising, but it’s far less competitive as Adwords, so it’s really worth to watch it:

It doesn’t matter, whether you are doing article marketing, creating Squidoo lenses or just writing blogs, your primary goal has to be to convince your reader that he will benefit from clicking on your affiliate link (of course he REALLY has to benefit from it, so don’t abuse people!).

But many online marketers simply don’t know how to convince others, how to write a good product review. So here is the magic blueprint:

The Headline:

The most important thing is to create an attention grabbing headline! I don’t mean to use a headline like “You should read this!” or something like that. Don’t forget: people are having problems and they are searching for a solution to their problems, and they will only read your review, if they think, they will find the answer to their questions. Therefore, try to be as specific as you possible! Tell them why they need to read your review and what problems can be solved by doing so.

The Body: 

It’s always a good beginning to start with a story that you or some of your friends had the similar problem, so you have to convince the reader that you know how he feels and what he need. I suggest you to tell only true stories, because it’s not the ideal way to make money from lying to others.
In the next part tell your reader, that you (or your friend) were skeptical first but you tried out the product anyway.

Now you can list all the benefits the product has, and more important: You should list all the benefits your reader could have from using it.
So the reader has to feel, that the given product is the solution for his problem. Now here comes an important part: You want your visitors to click on your affiliate link, but they would only do it, if they feel that you gave them a HONEST review! So after you listed all the benefits, you should say that the product is very good, BUT it’s not perfect!

At this part, you should highlight a minor negative point!

Conclusion:

At the end of your product review, you have to tell them about WHOM will it work for and highlight the biggest benefits to demonstrate WHY it’s going to work. After that, you have to call your reader to action, to click on your link.

If you use this magic formula, I can guarantee you a big increase in your affiliate sales!
