In the past years, there were many discussions about banner advertising as the traffic source of the past. PPC became more and more popular, so the average marketers have also realized that they can get cheap targeted traffic as well. Seemed like everybody has accepted, that banner ads are dead, and is not worth to use (except if you are a big guy with a lot of money).
However, I’ve discovered a cool video yesterday about how to do banner advertising correctly. The techniques used in the video are very similar to the strategies of PPC advertising, but it’s far less competitive as Adwords, so it’s really worth to watch it:
There are tons of eBooks about how you can monetize your website by placing Adsense ads on it. However, there are many sites that are just overwhelmed with ads, so the visitors are running away immediately. Of course you also can find pages, where the placement of ads is very solid, but smart, so they probably generate a nice income stream.
But even if you know, how to generate those ad-clicks, you are still losing a LOT of money!
I’m really sorry I couldn’t write new posts in the past weeks, but I was pretty busy with my other niche websites and with my new niche product. Fortunately I’ve got a little time now, so I could spend a few hours searching for interesting things I could write about. After about 15 minutes, I’ve found a pretty nice report, about what kind of things to keep in mind, if you really want to make money online.
